An opposition, or statement of non-opposition, to the granting of a motion shall be filed and served no later than fourteen (14) days after said motion was filed. See E.D. Cal. L.R. 230(c). On September 3, 2024, Plaintiff filed an Opposition to Defendant's motion?three weeks late. (ECF No.8 .) In their8 Opposition, Plaintiff explains that their late filing was due to an inadvertent calendaring mistake and asks the Court to excuse their late filing under Fed. R. Civ. P. 6(b)(1)(B). The Court will grant Plaintiff's request. However, Plaintiff is reminded that, in the future, a failure of counsel to comply with the Local Rules of Court may be grounds for imposition by the Court of any and all sanctions, including monetary sanctions, authorized by statute or Rule or within the inherent power of the Court. See E.D. Cal. L.R. 110. Furthermore, on the Court's own motion, the hearing on Defendant's4 Motion to Dismiss, currently set for 10/3/2024 at 1:30 PM, is VACATED and RESET for 12/19/2024 at 1:30 PM in Courtroom 10 (DJC) before District Judge Daniel J.
