ENDORSED ORDER: The case is dismissed without prejudice. Movant is a pretrial detainee in Hillsborough County. He contends that he is not competent to face pending charges there, and he seeks immediate relief from State detention because the Notice to Appear in his case was sent to the wrong address, thus rendering him unjustly a "Failure to Appear" subject to arrest. This Court has very, very limited jurisdiction to intercede in an ongoing State criminal prosecution. No such facts are remotely present here that would invoke this Court's rare and limited jurisdiction. Petitioner's present remedies lie in the State system. The matter is closed, and due to the lack of merit legally and factually, no certificate of appeal will issue. The Clerk will close this file. Signed by Judge William F. Jung on 4/24/2024.
