ORDER: Before the Court is Plaintiff Protiviti, Inc.'s motion for a temporary restraining order (Doc. 1) and emergency request for discovery to support its preliminary injunction motion (Doc. 6). The motion for temporary restraining order asks for an immediate order but declines to state whether it should be ex parte. The Court concludes the complaint/motion lacks sufficient justification for an ex parte temporary restraining order and denies it to the extent it is requested. The Court concludes the motion addresses merits and harm but not the public interest or balance of the equities. The Court denies the motion for temporary restraining order to the extent it is not seeking ex parte relief and ORDERS Protiviti to file a motion by Monday, July 8 addressing all 4 elements. The Court ORDERS Protiviti to serve its motion for discovery, this order, and its forthcoming motion for temporary restraining order on the defendants by any lawful means by Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at 5:00pm central time and file a notice of service. The defendants are ORDERED to respond to the motion for discovery and the forthcoming motion for temporary restraining order by Thursday, July 11, 2024 at 5:00pm central.
