TEXT ORDER As per today's Initial Scheduling Conference by videoconference and the parties' agreement: (1) Plaintiff's counsel shall serve a settlement demand and provide Plaintiff's medical records on or before 9/30/24; and (2) thereafter, the parties shall engage in settlement negotiations and defer exchanging Rule 26 Disclosures and conducting formal discovery, pending the outcome of settlement discussions. The Court will conduct a Settlement Conference by videoconference on 11/18/24 at 2:00 p.m. All parties, party representatives, and/or insurance claims adjusters with ACTUAL AND FULL settlement authority are required to attend. The parties shall fax confidential settlement position papers of five (5) pages or less to Chambers (973-645- 4549) on or before 11/14/24. Further, as per the parties' agreement, the Court shall defer issuing a Pretrial Scheduling Order, pursuant to Local Civil Rule 16.1(a)(1), pending the outcome of settlement discussions.
