11		11 order 2 - Minute Order Fri 04/11 12:05 PM MINUTE ORDER: The following MINUTE ORDER is made by direction of the Court, the Honorable Ricardo S. Martinez, United States District Judge: On April 10, 2025, Petitioner in this matter filed a Motion for Temporary Restraining Order "or Final Ruling on Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus" ("TRO") against Respondents to obtain Petitioner's immediate release or, in alternative, for the Court to convert the TRO into a final ruling and grant Petitioner's habeas petition. Dkt. #2. On April 11, 2025, Respondents filed a Notice of Intent to Oppose the TRO. Dkt. #10. Under the circumstances here, the Courts Local Rules allow for the adverse party or parties to file a Response to a TRO. See LCR 65(b)(5). The adverse party must file a notice "indicating whether it plans to oppose the motion within twenty-four hours after service of the motion" and "file its response, if any, within forty-eight hours after the motion is served." Id. No reply is permitted from the plaintiff. Id. Petitioner does not explicitly request entry of the TRO without notice but requests that the Court grant the TRO or "[a]lternatively, after hearing from Respondents," convert the Motion and grant the habeas petition. Dkt. #2 at 18. As noted above, Respondents filed their Notice of Intent to Respond. Dkt. #10. Accordingly, Respondents may file a response. Because the Court will not rule on this matter immediately and due to the Court's closure on Saturday and Sunday, the Court will waive the forty-eight-hour filing requirement and allow Respondents to file a response no later than Noon, 12:00 P.M.
